Shree Damodar is one of the most shaswat deities presiding in Goa. The Ramnath Damodar devasthan is situated 22 km from Margaon at Jambaulim on the banks of river Kushavati, popularly known as Panta (Panto). Shri Damodar is the Kuladevata of Gaud Saraswat Bhahmins and Gramdevata of thousands residing in Margaon. He is worshipped by Hindus and Christians alike.
The affiliated deities of the temple are Shree Ramnath, Shree Chamundeshwari, Shree Mahakali and Shree Mahesh that together form the Panchista Parivar. The temple also houses Shree Laxminarayan, Shree Mulvir, Shree Gomeshwar and Shree Nirakar among other deities. The Mahajans of the temple are from Kaushik, Kashyap, Bharadwaja and Vatsa gotras with the surnames Prabhu, Hegde, Shenvi and Dukle respectively.
